I love breakfast in the late afternoon sometimes and crosswinds serves breakfast all day. Not to mention the rest of their menu is wonderful also. The views out the picture windows over the runway at the airport are tremendous you can see the rim and watch planes take off and land.

Overall this is a great cafe. I had the chicken fried steak dinner with mashed potatoes and country gravy and it was super tasty. My husband had the French dip and it was about a 4 out of 5 stars. We heard that we should have tried the Reuben, so we'll order that next time! It was a cute place, with mini airplanes hanging from the ceiling and airplane- patterned curtains. The airstrip is right outside and you can watch planes take off and land. They have homemade pies too which I'll save room for next time!

Nice out of the way restaurant with view of airfield. Food was good. Moderately priced. Excellent service and friendly waitresses. Pies very good. My 5 year old grandson would love this with all the model airplanes and real ones taking off and landing.

This place was awesome!!! Amazing atmosphere, great staff, our waitress was an absolute doll! Great view and the planes were really cool. The food was absolutely fantastic and huge portions at reasonable prices. Definitely coming again.

Food is what is expected from a diner, service was real good and prompt. Great view of the runway. But hey those model aircraft need a bit of dusting.

Great place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Food is fresh, hot and ready to eat. Their pies are fantastic! Try not to mind though that it always takes a long time to get your food.

So cool visiting here! My kids loved watching the planes land and take off while we ate lunch with family on our vacation.

Went for their all you can eat Friday fish fry. Service was super fast and good. Fish, fries and cole slaw was good but fish wasn't crispy on the outside like we like it and middle was not hot. They must cook a lot in advance and keep it under the warmer, that's why we got our food so fast. Their clam chowder was great! Dinner salad was pretty large. We'll definitely go back as we heard their breakfasts are great. Whole homemade pies to buy looked wonderful!

My wife and I were visiting friends in Payson and they offered to take us out to breakfast. We settled on the airport restaurant. My wife and I often enjoy the restaurants at small airports, and this was no exception. Our window overlooked the runway. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. The coffee was good and so was the breakfast. My wife ordered the roasted potatoes. They had a perfect golden crunch on the outside. She also had the link sausage, expecting the usual skinny little links. These were actually large links, about half the size of a bratwurst with excellent, mild flavor. The bacon portion was generous and tasty, and the scrambled eggs were quite good. If visiting in the area again, we will definitely choose the Crosswinds again without hesitation.

Restaurant is wonderful. Such a cute little place. A million dollar view. So beautiful. And the food was great. But the orchard pie was awesome. .. so delicious. Definitely worth to fly here.

Amazing place to eat!!Their food is really good, always well cooked, never been sick eating here. They have a few things for those that can't have gluten. Not a specific gluten free menu, but they can work with you. They also pipe in the air traffic control which is always fun to listen to.

Great food and a great view of the mogollan rim. Itsfun to be entertained by the planes taking off and landing. A real special place.

The food here was absolutely delicious and what you'd expect from a great small town diner. Awesome views of the ramp and aircraft.

Always love coming here. The burgers smelled great but we went with the all-you-can-eat fish fry. Pretty tasty. Gonna finish it up with a pie.

If you like airplanes, restaurants decorated with plane models and a great view of the Mogollon rim, this is the place for you. The food is good, well made American classics, breakfast, pancakes, omelets burgers and more. Friendly and nice. I liked it, and all the plane models reminded me of my child hood.

OMG, the food is amazing. Do NOT miss the onion rings, out of this world. The owner is super nice & can she bake pies 🥧 We'll go back every chance we get, you should too. P.S. you also get to watch small planes land & take off, so fun!

It's a great little diner that's always a fun experience. Plenty of down-home choices cooked just the way you want them. All day breakfast is a great perk, but any of the other choices will not disappoint: steak, liver and onions, soups, sandwiches and more. Plus you get the entertainment of watching the small planes takeoff and landing while you eat. They also have speakers times to the ATC radio frequency so you can listen to the pilots and "tower" talk.

Cute little restaurant, great atmosphere, beautiful views, the staff was so happy and friendly even though it was busy. I ordered the biscuits and gravy which were huge and delicious. Here’s a tip - don’t get the double order because the single order is huge!! The photo is a single biscuits and gravy order.

Service is good, but the food is great. You won't leave hungry. Home food up-Scaled and the price is very reasonable. Kind of nice seeing airplanes landing and taking off. I met the owner by mistake, she was stocking pies and then cleaning. Nice lady! You won't be disappointed I guarantee that.

8/7/19 Wednesday My friend and I decided to try the meatloaf special served on Wednesday and we are very glad we did. He had a delicious side salad I had the beef vegetable soup they both were very good. We especially enjoyed the meatloaf mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. All were served hot even though there was a wait, due to a staffing situation. We were very pleased.This visit was 5 stars.Blessings, John

Crosswinds restaurant is a nice place to eat. It is an economically friendly place on your wallet and the waitresses are all friendly with smiles on their face. I would recommend this place if you're wanting a good cooked meal. The atmosphere is kind of like a mom pop type atmosphere but pleasantly nice. Again I would highly recommend this place to any and all.

This is one of the nicest, cutest, and most unique breakfast places Ive been to in a long time! Not only was it fun to watch the planes take off and land, but the food was amazing too! If youre looking for fluffy omelets stuffed with all of the fixings, crispy and delicious home fries, and amazing selection of pies this is the place to go! The staff was very friendly as well.

IF you want all you can eat fish on Fridays get there before 5:00. Pleasant atmosphere. Pretty good food. Salads aren't great. Down home place for the locals. Great folks run the place.

Great and friendly service as always! The food is cheap and delicious. I recommend the Ruben sandwich for lunch but the French toast for breakfast was awesome. Even better than the French toast is the omlettes. Beast part about this place is that you can relax and watch the planes take off and land all day.

This restaurant came highly recommended by a Payson native. I was not aware of the location. It's the 'Home of the Million Dollar View' of the Rim. The airport is suitable for small private planes and the restaurant is home town friendly. Open from 6AM to 8PM, it serves American classics made fresh and served by friendly people. Model airplanes hang from the ceilings and are conversation pieces.The food's good too. We had a hot turkey sandwich and a Reuben, both of which were very nice. Then, if you can still eat more, there is a refrigerated case of homemade pies.Parking is right out front for your vehicle. There is also a fly-in campground with 12 spaces, fully stocked with firewood, and equipped with restrooms. Overnight camping is free to all fly-in guests, but please call ahead. Fun place. Great view.

If you are looknforna great spot to grab some breakfast. This is a great place. You can watch the planes coming and leaving thought the giant windows. It's a great experience and good food.

The staff was friendly and courteous, and the food was really good. Fun watching the planes take off and land while eating. Everybody wore masks so felt they were COVID 19 aware and cautious. Will go back there again.

I'm building a full-size drone and when I drive to the welders I pass it on the way . It's a nice beautiful Valley. And all the airplanes on the ceiling is captivating
